All You Need Is Love!!!!

Most people my age will probably think of the Beatles when they hear this expression. Amazing song, released in 1967, nearly a year before I was born. I saw a programme on tv a few months ago where the Beatles were recording this song live in a studio. I never really paid much attention to the lyrics before. That day I was so excited to hear the lyrics properly, and the wonderful message within them.

Yesterday I attended a Breathwork workshop at Energise Fitness (https://www.energisefitness.co.uk/) with a trainer called Anna from https://www.breathethrough.co/,  If anyone ever experienced breathwork, you would know that the experience is magical to say the least. Is very individual to each participant, as it works on your emotions, your nervous system, your, mind and if you are lucky enough to go deeper, your spirituality. I have done it once before and I knew not to expect anything but to simply let go, just offer no resistance. Like the song says(its easy..) Not at all.

Nevertheless, I went into the experience and as I said earlier it was magical. There were tears and there was belly laughter. There was definitely something going on. A lot of releasing of energies accumulated somewhere.

After breathwork, our conscious awareness enhances, and our sleep improves a lot too. Dreams, the do happen too, very vivid in fact. I wanted to write this today because is still very fresh in the mind. I had a dream where I was talking to Paul McCartney, a much younger one, he said to me All you need is love. I hugged him and said thank you. So here I am, 24 hours after the workshop, sharing this. You have every single right to think I am mad, and if you stop reading now I wouldn’t hold it against you.

In therapy, people come to see us because they are not in the here and now, they are either in the past or in the future. Unable to appreciate the gifts of today(That is why is called the “present”) and without a fault of their own, focusing their energies on events that happened a long time ago or haven’t happened yet. Either way, they have no control over them.

All we need is love. Love for ourselves, primarily. Love for what we have right now, the gifts life has to offer today. The simple fact we are breathing and able to enjoy another day, that in itself is a massive gift. Everything that happens in that day; either positive or negative,, if observed and received with love will become a lesson or a gift.

These four boys from Liverpool have been telling the world for years, and only today I really paid attention. Observe with an open heart and a curious mind, we are in the place where we need to be.
